Value engineering (V.E.) is a technically creative process that lowers cost while maintaining or enhancing design. V.E. is not cost cutting (although cost cutting has its role). Through V.E., we help designers find ways of saving money without sacrificing the essential elements of their design. V.E. can save money and add value throughout the design process, not just when a project is over budget. We facilitate this process to keep projects within budget, but without compromising the designer’s vision for the project.
Life-cycle cost analysis is an analytical method of determining the total cost of ownership of a piece of a system or equipment over its useful life. It uses a variety of inputs to determine the net present value and operational tradeoffs of various alternatives. It helps to ensure the smart investment of capital dollars. Using this method, we help clients make fully informed, cost-effective system and equipment selections that best serve their long-term interests.
